CeADAR

CeADAR – Ireland’s Centre for Applied AI is the national centre for applied Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics. It operates as a partnership between University College Dublin (UCD) and Enterprise Ireland, serving as the country’s Digital Innovation Hub for AI and a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH). CeADAR bridges academic research and industrial application by accelerating AI adoption across sectors such as health, finance, manufacturing, and energy. Its work spans machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, edge AI, and responsible AI, with a strong emphasis on explainability, fairness, and trustworthy systems. The centre supports industry partners through R&D collaborations, technology demonstrators, and training initiatives, making AI more accessible to SMEs and large enterprises.

CeADAR also plays a key role in AI policy, ethics, and standards development, representing Ireland in European initiatives such as AI-on-Demand and BDVA/DAIRO. It has an active portfolio of Horizon Europe and national innovation projects, contributing to AI governance, sustainability, and workforce upskilling.

In the PANORAIMA project, CeADAR (through UCD) leads and contributes to the design, development, and delivery of the AI Master’s curriculum, focusing on horizontal learning events, online modules, and industry engagement, ensuring alignment with emerging AI standards and best practices in responsible and applied AI.
