The University of West Attica (UNIWA) is a dynamic public institution established in 2018 through the merger of the Technological Educational Institute of Athens and the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences. Located in the Athens metropolitan area, UNIWA has quickly become one of the largest universities in Greece, with more than 60,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, over 200 permanent teaching and research staff, and more than 1,000 adjunct faculty members. The university operates three modern campuses, offering a vibrant academic environment that blends applied science with theoretical depth.
UNIWA consists of six faculties and 27 academic departments covering a broad spectrum of disciplines, including engineering, health and life sciences, economics and management, social sciences, and the arts.
